Springtime -98. Keyboardist Peter Johansson becomes member of a hobby band formed by Robert and Kjell.

When the desicion was made what to play they made up their minds to play something different and not to be a coverband like others. The demand was tough, it should be something fun connected to party and show. The idea rose to play disco, the kind the big stars played late 70's and early 80's.

The missing link to be a complete group was a good voice and a steady base. Singer Mia and baseguitarist Claes was contacted, both liked the idea and joined. But what should the group be named ? That problem was solved one evening when they all was watching an old movie from the 70's. The film's name? Well take a wild guess. Carwash adopted the name and of course the theme Carwash from the movie.

Carwash has developed into a "real" disco band with "pearls and paljettes", all to make a real 70's feeling. Disco of course, but Carwash also mix in a lot of funk and boogie.
