It took this old broad a moment or two but she finally got it...
It's kind of like using "inflammable," n'est-ce pas!
But the one that really gets moi is when someone (American) says, "I" when he or she really means "me." Example, "Please give them to my sister and I." Obviously, its incorrect to give something to "I." One gives it to "me."
Even our semi-esteemed prez, Geo W says it de temps a temps.
My high school English & French teacher, Mrs. Winkelmann, would be so proud to realize how much her efforts have born fruit with me.
The person is trying to sound so smart and just manages to display ignorance instead.

These are the first phrases that I first learned in these two beautiful and expressive languages and I still love saying them!
