Hello there :)

I have 2 doubts, i wonder if an1 can help me:

1 - What means "les chiens et le loups", is it just "the dogs and the wolves" or is it some kind of an expression?

2 - Why do you say ".... avec des lunettes" and in the negative form you drop the "s" from "de" ?
il porte des lunettes.
il ne porte pas de lunettes.

Isn't "lunettes" plural? so why do you say DE LUNETTES?

Merci!

This is a good question. I'm not quite sure of the reason but pas de is somethign to say "not any" in English. "He isn't wearing any glasses". I see people use je ne porte pas mon imper rouge. Pas de doesn't always have to be used and when it is used it doesn't matter if the noun after it is plural or feminine or anything like that.

Thnx Rob, i must agree with you about "pas de", it seems it really doesnt matter if the noun after is in the plural or not!

You probably mean : entre chiens et loups

You can read this:
http://www.nakedtranslations.com/fr/2004/02/000063.php

to sum up, it's that point of the day between daylight and twilight, when you could not make the difference between a dog and a wolf.

Your remark is always true, you never use des with a negative form.
