Amikeco,
What language is this?

Looks like Latvian, a Baltic language closely related to Lithuanian and Prussian (extinct).

Sorry, I'm studying so slow. I'm doing research, you know.

But I'm not a slow learner.

I'm also very slow these days. :(

Why does the letter b in German specialized as in -

der Fuß

Why? Is this to emphasize intensity of sound and stress?

It is no "b" but an own letter - compare B and ß.

ß, known as "Eszett" or "scharfes S", is pronounced like an unvoiced "s".

der Fuß: http://www.leo.org/dict/aussprache/f/der_Fuss.wav

Hey! You're funny!

So you just sent me the sound of ß?

I was thinking it was a broken record!

Thanks. Laughing

The link shows the pronunciation of the words "der Fuß", and the "ß" is at the end of the word. Wink
