I need to know how to say "beloved dog" and "royal dog" in French.

Is it "chien cheri" and "chien royal" or "chien royale" please?

Thank you all for any help with the correct phrases!

With a context, it's easier to provide a good translation.

Beloved dog can be translated into chien adoré

Royal dog is more difficult. Do you mean a dog that belongs to a king?

Yes, I mean a dog that is royal, a dog that belongs to a king or queen.

Also, can you please tell me what "chien cheri" means?

Thanks for you help! I really appreciate it.

chien chéri could also be translated by beloved dog, chien chéri sounds a bit strange, though.
chéri(e) means "honey", you could call your girl/boyfriend or your husband/wife "chéri(e)"

royal dog could theoritically be translated by chien royal but I would rather recommend you to say "le chien du roi" or "le chien de la reine". Nobody would say le chien royal to refer to the King's dog.
