So, I learn Swedish (mother's tongue) from books, English from the Internet, Japanese from manga/anime and Latin from various old scriptures...

Now my question is: Do you know something that is to French, as, e.g. manga is to Japanese?
So that I will not forget the language after I graduate.

you can also read french novels or short stories...

I'd rather say a very bad level of French.

Well, these guys barely speak French.

I get what you're saying. I tried to listen to French rap, but had a hard time understanding the slang. I just watch French tv shows on Radio-Canada (which interetingly enough is a television channel). Movies are good too. You can watch French movies in French (dubbing sucks, I hate it, lol) or you could watch a movie with French subtitles and mute it. I did that with "The Red Violin"..good movie..

Well, rap and I just don't mix, but I have thought about the TV/movie alternatives.
Do you know any french-speaking tv series which aren't... you know too French? Wink

Same goes for novels, It'd be great if I could find some series to my liking so that I'd want to read/watch it rather than feel obliged to.
