I've learned formal English and through it, I am able to write and earn. Yet, I am still interested in learning what I can from this site. It looks very interesting!

Scanning through the folders and reading the postings make me feel I can learn a lot from all of you.

I've read the questions as well as the answers and they're very intelligent. The communication level is also much higher than in other sites.

I also saw the number of views of the topics and they are in four digits - although the replies are quite scanty. This speaks of interesting content.

Glad to be here!

Yes, I've been posting in the other threads. I notice though that action here is very slow. I mean, not many are posting.

I appreciate the site, though.

Yes, I'd post more, if there were more action. Neutral

Hi there, again, Amikeco!
You make an interesting teacher. I feel guilty not studying my German lessons. Even in this English forum, I'm going slow. They're generally slow anyway.

I'm busy with research but from time to time I check in.

Are you also good in English?
Which, AE or BE? Which to you is better?
I grew up with the first one and I feel more comfortable with it.

Your job is more important, or else you'll starve. ;)

I've learnt BE and I'll stick to it unless I'd move to the USA (which is unlikely but you should never say "never" Wink).

I'm an intermediate but I can communicate in English (when writing - I'm not used to speaking because there are relatively few possibilities in my surroundings) about every topic I'd like to speak; from time to time I even think in English, so I'm somewhat fluent but my active knowledge of vocabulary and grammar is limited; therefore, I'm just an intermediate. ;)

I read and write in English daily, and when doing that, I always think in English.

Oh, you're already very good in English!
I just wonder what you intend to do with your stock of so many languages.
Rule the world?

I know you're interested in knowing many things.
I like to connect with people like you.

It's exciting seeing you in many places.

(*1 "to be good at something" => you have to use the preposition "at". - The sentence sounds a bit strange now, maybe "good at speaking/writing in English"?)

Thanks! :)

Well, I don't yet know what to do with that after university but I'll surely find my way to make a living. ;)

For me, as I've written elsewhere, are languages the keys to the heart of us humans, and, depending on the region, of course, it can be very rewarding to speak in someone's native language. Many humans are more open to speak freely. A non-native language is in most cases first "processed" and converted in one's brain but a native language conveys its words and concepts directly to the whole human being.

 No, that contradicts my inner political concepts. :D

Learning keeps the brain young. Very Happy And learning languages helps meeting people from all over the world - this fits into my concept of world-wide understanding very well! :)

Not ruling others but talking to others is my wish, equally to which culture the others belong to. Working together will brings us humans forward, not fighting and suppressing each other. Exclamation

This site was very active a couple of months ago but since it's summer now everyone is probably relaxing or taking a vacation. Smile

So, okay, let's put it into action again.

I was about to forget all about it.

In fact, I had reviewed this site already in Amazon.com
